Avalere Health is seeking a Vice President, Product Solutions, to join our Data Analytics and Development team. This role is responsible for the ideation, development, and management of analytic and technology solutions. This person will lead our product development team and work in collaboration with analytic, product, software development, technology, sales, marketing, and business staff across Avalere and our parent company, Inovalon. This position is responsible for leading the product development process and achieving financial metrics and growth for the product portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a record of inventive problem solving and experience leading successful teams in a matrixed environment. This position will report to the Senior Vice President of Data Analytics and Development.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the conceptualization, development and management of analytic and technology product solutions for providers, health plans, and life science companies 

  • Motivate and lead the work of the product development team to achieve goals for existing and new product solutions
  • Design the analytic and operational content and functionality of new product solutions that will include custom development in combination with configuration of existing software applications 
  • Lead cross functional teams in a matrixed environment including Avalere and Inovalon analytic, business, product, software development, and technology staff to deliver existing and new product solutions
  • Work collaboratively with sales and marketing teams to bring products to market and hit financial metrics 
  • Engage with clients from contract execution to requirements definition, solution design, and delivery of product solution 
  • Responsible for managing the product development and prioritization process
  • Responsible for achieving financial metrics and growth of the product portfolio

Skills, Experience, and Other Job Related Requirements: 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Advanced degree in business, business administration, public administration, mathematics, computer science, economics, public policy, public health, or a related field

  • At least 10 years of experience in product ideation, development, and management of applications, specifically development/management of technology applications with analytical and operational components in a health care provider, health plan, and/or life sciences environment
  • At least 5 years of experience supervising staff and managing cross-functional teams
  • Experience working productively with IT, sales, marketing, analytic, business, and other teams to develop, sell, and manage product solutions
  • Proven ability to interface with clients to determine business needs, translate those needs to product solutions, and effectively deploy solutions with clients
  • Advanced knowledge of health care and health policy issues
  • Strong analytic skills and knowledge of claims/EMR data and processes
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
