Avalere Health Names Former AOL Division COO As EVP of Operations

Avalere Health has named Danny Krifcher as Executive Vice President for Operations.

Krifcher comes with a wealth of experience, having served in a number of operating and planning roles during more than a decade as a senior executive at AOL. More recently, Krifcher has focused on the health care industry, including founding and serving as CEO of a health IT and care management services company.

Krifcher joins Avalere Health to continue the firm’s recent growth and success providing innovative solutions to complex healthcare problems.

“With insurance exchanges, health system integration, Medicaid expansion, and commercial re-alignment, change has arrived in healthcare,” said Dan Mendelson, CEO of Avalere. “Danny’s outstanding operational and strategic leadership will be a key asset to our organization as we continue to scale in service of our customers’ needs.”

In his position, Krifcher will be responsible for overseeing Finance, IT, Human Resources, Business Integrity and Marketing at Avalere.

Krifcher graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School. At America Online, Krifcher served as a senior executive, rising to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the AOL Dial-Up Business, with more than 20 million subscribers. Earlier in his career, Krifcher served as a corporate strategy consultant at Bain & Company and founded a Bain Capital backed start-up.
