The QMEP is charged with making final recommendations about the endorsement of new measures. To that end, they evaluate measure concepts proposed by the PQA Measure Development Teams and Task Forces and then prioritize them for further specification and testing. They also review feedback from PQA members and the Measure Update Panel on draft measures to determine what, if any, updates need to be made to the measures. Lastly, they are responsible for evaluating the results of the pilot-testing of the draft measures. QMEP members represent a mix of quality experts from government organizations, manufacturers, pharmacy benefit managers, payers, and universities.
