Data License Senior Solution Engineer

Avalere Health is seeking a Data License Senior Solution Engineer.

The Data License Senior Solution Engineer will work alongside our Data License Sales Director to license healthcare data and data-related offerings to life sciences companies, pharma companies and other targeted third parties.

The Data License Senior Solution Engineer is responsible pre-sales activities to provide industry expertise, technical support and present technical solutions that result in gaining and retaining clients. This role interacts with clients to execute the technical aspects of the sales strategy by developing and building technical relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Participates and leads client meetings in person and via the phone. Prepares complex level technical proposals and presentations
  • Understands the clients and offer business solutions in order to clarify the strategic fit of the data-related solutions into their environment
  • Query the data set to ensure applicability and pattern determination
  • Run patient accounts for different codes to demonstrate solution effectiveness
  • Provides broad scope responses to client and industry questions
  • Evaluate client needs and requirements and illustrate how company data-related solutions provide value and support to the client’s organization
  • Advises clients and sales on technical aspects of company solutions including fit to client’s needs, features, availability
  • Acts as a client advocate as necessary for pre-sales activities and minimal post-sales activities
  • Assist data license sales director to navigate complex organizations to find decision makers and other key stakeholders
  • Assist data license sales director with ongoing business expansion (i.e., cross-sell and up-sell)

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical, or related field

Skill Requirements

  • Increasing responsibilities preferably in a public company
  • Demonstrated knowledge of broad range of technology platforms, systems and tools
  • Must have the ability to build relationships and have a proactive communication style ensuring timely status of projects to team and clients
  • Must be able to extract hidden or unrealized client requirements and gain consensus
  • Ability to focus extract ambiguous client needs into specific, deliverable requirements and gain consensus
  • Able to develop relationships and communicate with high level client technical staff and management
  • Must be able to work through complex issues with a methodical approach
  • Expert ability to graphically depict solutions in a compelling manner
  • Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Detail oriented
  • Must be available to travel routinely to client sites
  • Willingness to travel (approximately 50%)

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive sales engineering experience in healthcare data licensing
  • Experience in or knowledge of the healthcare industry, especially life sciences, pharma, or data vendor, is a plus
