Job Description

The Manager of FP&A will be responsible for forecasting revenue, expense, and earnings for different functional groups within the company. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day analytical support to the business to inform decision making, analyze and make recommendations on operational issues, and support potential M&A opportunities and other corporate strategic initiatives. The Manager will also help revise and enhance FP&A's efficiency and effectiveness in its current business processes, and will help identify and develop additional capabilities to add more value to Inovalon's overall performance.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with internal business clients, including senior leaders, to drive financial transparency across multiple product lines and operations and support forecasting and financial reporting including developing the upside/downside risks for management
  • Provide a clear understanding of both financial and operational business drivers
  • Support key data required for business operations and the evolution of those processes to automated states
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages that includes analysis of key business trends and actual versus plan variances, including comprehensive explanations of differences as well as the impact of business drivers to budget/forecast
  • Bring business insights and contribute as part of the business leadership team
  • Produce routine and ad hoc financial and operational models to support senior management in decision-making
  • Collaborate with business owners on data analysis and modeling projects
  • Improve and enhance financial processes to streamline, increase accuracy, and enhance business impact
  • Serve as a liaison between Operations, Product and Finance organizations

Skills, Experience, and Other Job-Related Requirements

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 5 years of related experience (health care experience preferred) or 3 years of related experience plus a master’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field of study

Experience Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience with accounting software (e.g., Oracle Financials, SAP, Hyperion, or similar), especially general ledger
