Avalere is seeking a Project Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO).

The Project Manager will sit within the PMO and support projects for practice areas across the business. In this role, the Project Manager would be responsible for the financial and administrative management and administration of advisory services projects ranging in size and complexity.

Responsibilities

  • Define, plan, and administer project management-related activities for multiple advisory services projects
  • Work with subject matter experts, technical staff, vendors/partners, client teams, and others to ensure the operational and financial success of projects and programs under management
  • Manage projects by defining scope, schedules, deliverables, and risk plans
  • Organize and lead project status updates, prepare and distribute progress reports, and correct deviations from plans
  • Develop project teams by holding teams accountable for their commitments, managing interdependencies, leveraging organizational resources and communicating progress and issues to management
  • Prepare of scopes of work amendments, budgets, timelines, and other business documents as required
  • Collaborate with Finance and Accounting on monthly financial activities, such as invoicing and collections
  • Assist with defining the standard operational procedures and process for PMO operations, in collaboration with PMO and Operations leadership
  • Assist PMO leadership in developing, communicating, and promoting team accountability for a monthly calendar of operational activities
  • Collaborate with enterprise teams on key business processes on behalf of the PMO
  • Develop and maintain a professional level of knowledge regarding Avalere’s services and products

Education Requirements

  • BS/BA degree from accredited college/university

  • A positive, professional, and solution-oriented attitude

Experience Requirements

  • 6–8 years of experience managing projects/programs, with operational and financial responsibility
