Senior Associate, Client Solutions

Avalere Health is seeking a Senior Associate for our Client Solutions Practice.

This role will report to the sales lead for the health plans sector and will support all aspects of the business development process from prospecting to contract development. They will assist the sales lead in executing our business plan and drive sales to meet regular goals. The successful candidate will be be passionate about healthcare innovation and dedicated to delivering high-quality work to Avalere’s clients. This is a client-facing role, and applicants should be comfortable representing Avalere and discussing our value proposition in calls and in-person meetings with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in sales calls, web conferences, and in-person meetings with clients
  • Draft slides and presentation materials under the supervision of senior staff
  • Schedule sales calls and meetings; prepare and distribute agendas and meeting materials
  • Take meeting notes and follow up on actionable items
  • Support sales lead in the execution of their business plan
  • Draft scopes of work and budget templates under the supervision of senior staff
  • Enter data into Salesforce and regularly update as opportunities progress
  • Compile data from Salesforce to give regular progress updates to senior leadership
  • Conduct outreach to new prospects via phone or email
  • Assist with marketing campaigns and lead generation activities
  • Help identify account gaps and additional opportunities with current clients

Skills, Experience, and Other Job-Related Requirements

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in public policy, public health, public administration, business, economics, or related field

Skill Requirements

  • Business acumen and familiarity with business-to-business (B2B) sales
  • Working knowledge of key issues and trends in healthcare policy, including reimbursement
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely and foster productive discussion, both in person and via phone, email, and web conferences
  • Ability to set goals and implement planned actions with little oversight
  • A drive to solve problems and think creatively to address challenges
  • Ability to manage multiple goals concurrently, meet strict deadlines, and remain organized

Experience Requirements

  • 2–4 years’ work experience in a healthcare sales or consulting role
