Senior Associate, Sales Operations, Inside Sales

Avalere is seeking a Senior Associate candidate to join the Sales Operations Group to focus on inside sales.

Avalere Health is a leading strategic advisory firm focused on the intersection of business strategy, research, and public policy. Located in Washington, DC, Avalere works with a diverse range of clients spanning Fortune 500 life science companies, health plans, government agencies, advocacy and patient groups, and other organizations who seek to improve the healthcare system.

The Sales Operations team supports Avalere’s business development processes and interfaces with all areas of the business. The Senior Associate will implement inside sales activities including lead identification and generation, prospective client outreach, meeting coordination, and maintenance of sales data.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect for and build new business by identifying leads
  • Assess potential clients’ strategic and operational challenges and match them to Avalere services
  • Speak to potential clients about Avalere’s services, with a compelling vision of solutions
  • Enter lead and opportunity information in CRM; track and monitor progress in pipeline development and progression and sales
  • Collaborate with Account Teams to create materials for business development by conducting market and customer research
  • Provide insights from business development activities to inform future initiatives
  • Coordinate Avalere Account Team attendance at professional conferences

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience using CRM tools or other database solutions
  • Knowledge of healthcare issues and pharmaceutical market
  • Ability to learn quickly, take direction, and work independently
  • Experience working in a team environment with an emphasis on collaboration

Experience Requirements

  • 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in inside sales
  • Experience conducting outbound sales calls
