He applies his background in data-driven solutions, business development, and multi-channel communications to drive engagement opportunities for the firm.

Prior to Avalere, Alex was a senior business development executive with FormularyDecisions, the largest active online payer community in the US. While there, Alex consulted with manufacturers on communication strategies to share value messaging with formulary decision makers throughout the product life cycle, starting with pre-launch, pre-approval information. Prior to joining FormularyDecisions, Alex was vice president, business development, for a leading specialty software and digital solutions provider specializing in pharmaceutical evidence and analysis. Since 2001, Alex has worked in the fields of health economics, outcomes research, market access, and marketing to healthcare decision makers.

Alex has an MA from Bridgewater College and completed his graduate work at the University of Cincinnati.
