Barton Jones

Barton T. Jones advises clients on studies related to population health.

He applies his background in statistics and epidemiology, along with expertise using large health-related databases, to perform data warehousing and advanced analytics in support of various projects and products. Prior to joining to Avalere, Bart was a health data scientist at Inovalon, where he was responsible for quality measure development work with NCQA, analyzing the disparities in the Star-Five Quality Rating system, and disease management program evaluation related to cost, clinical, utilization, and satisfaction outcomes. Prior to that, Bart was a research intern at the Department of Biostatistics at the University of Michigan, responsible for developing protocols for documenting data checks, assisting with quality control of case report forms, and establishing parameters for code books and data dictionaries. Bart earned an MS in biostatistics from the University of Michigan with a cognate in epidemiology and a BS in mechanical engineering from Wilkes University with minors in mathematics, physics, and statistics.
