Ian Woodworth supports clients with research and analysis that span a wide variety of healthcare sectors and stakeholders.

He applies his background in drug discovery and healthcare economics to a broad range of client interests.

Prior to joining Avalere, Ian held a variety of research positions, most recently as an analyst at the Center for a Livable Future, where he evaluated the Food and Drug Administration’s methodology of heavy metal quantification from dietary sources. Before graduate school, Ian spent 2 years at the Rockefeller University where he led now-published efforts to isolate and characterize a novel antibiotic against tuberculosis. Additionally, Ian interned at MedImmune, where he screened drug candidates against lung fibrosis in mouse models.

Ian has an MPH from the Johns Hopkins University and a BA in molecular biology from Colgate University.
