Kenny Kan provides data-driven analytics, insights, and solutions to complex business challenges and policy/regulatory issues of health plans and life sciences clients.

With over 25 years of progressive financial leadership experience, he helps life science clients transition to a value-based care ecosystem, while assisting payer clients with Medicare and commercial financial/product/network strategies and ROI-focused risk-score accuracy solutions.

Prior to joining Avalere, Kenny was vice president and chief actuary at Humana, where he led a large actuarial team and partnered with senior management, divisional/segment operators, financial, and network/medical management teams to analyze trend bender strategies and financial forecasts, set reserves, and review product/pricing strategies. Prior to that, as senior vice president and chief actuary at CareFirst BlueCross/BlueShield, he provided strategic and actuarial leadership to contribute to the company’s financial stability via pricing, financial forecasts and analysis, reserving, and medical cost analysis.

Kenny has a MPA and BBA in accounting from the University of Texas, Austin. He is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a chartered financial Analyst, and a certified public accountant.
