Kevin A. Wilson oversees Avalere and Inovalon internal and external web properties.
He has worked with Internet technologies for over 20 years and has developed for WordPress from its earliest days as a blogging platform to its current maturity as a web-publishing platform. He participates in the W3C community group developing the Schema.org ontology for structured data on the web.
Prior to joining Avalere and Inovalon, Kevin taught biblical studies at colleges and seminaries in Iowa, Virginia, Tennessee, and Massachusetts, and spent three years teaching at a university in Lithuania. He has done archaeological fieldwork in Israel, Egypt, and Jordan. After transitioning to web development, he worked most recently for Psynchronous, a Massachusetts marketing agency representing substance use treatment centers.
Kevin has a BA with Honors in religion and political science from Carson-Newman University. He earned an MDiv and an STM in theology at Yale University, and then completed a PhD in Northwest Semitic philology at The Johns Hopkins University. An avid actor since he was young, he has performed with community theaters in Tennessee, Virginia, Massachusetts, and Maryland. He also plays the banjo.
