He applies his background in policy and strategy to help clients make timely and effective decisions based on changes in the healthcare marketplace that impact their business.
Prior to joining Avalere, Michael was the co-founder of a startup with a mission to end food insecurity and apply healthy food as a preventative measure to change health outcomes. Prior to that, as a program associate at Arabella Advisors, he was responsible for nonprofit management and strategy. Additionally, as a project assistant at the Urban Institute, he supported state health and social services agencies to effectively deliver key supports to working families, including efforts around ACA integration and Medicaid expansion.
Michael has a BA in psychology from the University of Virginia.
