Ray Taymour creates advertising and marketing that blend strategic insights with cultural resonance, leveraging his background in sociology, creative strategy, and research to help clients translate information into narratives that move and inspire.

With expertise in market access and brand marketing, he helps clients navigate healthcare ecosystems— engaging payers, health systems, HCPs, and patients to drive adoption, reimbursement, and healthier lives. His storytelling influences prescribing behaviors, shapes access strategies, and strengthens patient-provider connections, leveraging data-driven insights and cultural intelligence to connect with audiences on a human level.

Before joining Avalere, Ray worked across healthcare disciplines, including market access, brand marketing, health economics, and patient outcomes research. With academic training in health services research, he now applies empirical insights with creativity, ensuring life-changing treatments reach the right patients.

Ray has led campaigns that challenge pharmaceutical advertising norms, cutting through clinical jargon and redefining biosimilar branding. His work on Simlandi, AZinEarlyLung.com, Tarpeyo, Carvykti, Erleada, and Zyrtec has earned recognition from the Manny Awards, MM&M Awards, and Webby Awards.

Ray holds an MS in Health Services Research from the University of Michigan, with a focus in sociology and organizational studies, and a BS in Health and Society from Michigan State University.
