Summary
In June 2016, Avalere in collaboration with the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Cancer Support Community, Community Oncology Alliance, and Patient Advocate Foundation, and with support from Bristol-Myers Squibb, brought together a variety of healthcare stakeholders in a national Dialogue to discuss challenges and opportunities surrounding the advancement of quality in cancer care.The objectives of the Dialogue were three-fold:
- Gain consensus on gaps in current cancer and the need for advancing cancer care in the era of immuno-oncology and other emerging treatments
- Discuss potential quality measure topics and what may be prioritized
- Determine a set of consensus-based recommendations to advance quality of care
