Schizophrenia currently impacts 1.1% of the adult population. 1 Avalere identified 46 quality measures that address schizophrenia in Avalere’s Quality Measures Navigator®, including three that are used in quality programs including the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ Physician Quality Reporting System and Inpatient Psychiatric Facility Quality Reporting programs. Additional quality measures are needed to better address aspects of care such as care coordination and shared decision-making for this population.
