Dr. Angela Shen will be joining Avalere’s vaccines team as a senior adviser. She has worked extensively in the public sector in scientific, technical, and policy positions. Most recently, she was the senior science policy adviser at the US Department of Health & Human Services National Vaccine Program Office. Prior to that, she was the senior public health adviser for vaccines and immunizations at USAID in the Global Health Bureau. She also served at the US Food and Drug Administration licensing a number of biologic products including vaccines and at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a Presidential Management Fellow and an Associated Schools of Public Health Research Fellow. She is a widely published researcher and holds a faculty appointment at the Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health.
