Avalere Health is expanding internationally, offering a suite of services in reimbursement and health economics services for life sciences companies. Avalere has initiated a partnership with Pope Woodhead & Associates, a European-based consultancy with 30 years of expertise in partnering with life sciences companies. Their specialties include regulatory strategy, pricing, and market access solutions for successful entry into European and emerging country markets.

The partnership will leverage each firm’s best-in-class local market insight to enhance global strategies for clients in the areas of regulatory strategy, market access, value messaging, evidence generation planning, and policy. The complementary nature of the partnership also will expand the geographic reach of Avalere’s offerings in delivering client tools and solutions that reflect the values and priorities of the decision-makers in the U.S., European, and emerging markets.

“Evidence is global, but healthcare decisions to purchase, prescribe, and use technologies are local. Global life sciences companies must embrace a global view in how they think about data and evidence but incorporate the local needs of each market,” said Dan Mendelson, CEO of Avalere Health.

Avalere and Pope Woodhead’s partnership will serve both firms’ clients’ goals to establish global evidence and research strategies that deliver highly valued innovations to patients around the world. In addition, each partner brings on-the-ground insight and deep investments in analytics of the payer, provider, and prescriber trends in each country that lead to research, regulatory, and commercial strategies that will resonate with decision-makers in each country.

“Over the last year, we successfully partnered with Avalere Health on a number of projects, thought leadership initiatives, and client events. There is strong chemistry between our two teams, and experience confirmed that formalizing this collaboration will add a lot of value to our clients, as well as being mutually beneficial to the development of each organization,” said Andrew Hobbs, managing director, Pope Woodhead.
