Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) affects 1.5 million adults aged 18 and older in the U.S. (0.6 percent of the population).1 Avalere identified 53 quality measures that address RA in Avalere’s Quality Measures Navigator®, including seven that are used in the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ Physician Quality Reporting System program (one of these is also used in the Medicare Advantage (MA) Star Ratings program). Additional outcomes of care measures are needed, including patient-reported outcome measures.
