Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) affects 1.5 million adults aged 18 and older in the U.S. (0.6 percent of the population).¹ Avalere identified 53 quality measures that address RA in Avalere’s Quality Measures Navigator®, including seven that are used in the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ Physician Quality Reporting System program (one of these is also used in the Medicare Advantage (MA) Star Ratings program). Additional outcomes of care measures are needed, including patient-reported outcome measures.
