Avalere Adds New Experts in Payer, Pharmacy Benefit Management, Provider and Specialty Markets

Dr. Roy Beveridge and Mike Schneider Join the FirmDr. Roy Beveridge will be joining the firm as a senior adviser and will be working on a variety of client issues related to commercialization and regulatory strategies, financial services, and payment and delivery reform.
Mike Schneider will be joining the commercialization and regulatory strategies team as a principal. He will be working with life sciences companies to help them develop and implement market access strategies.
“Patient access and affordability issues have now taken center stage in public discourse and policy discussions,” said Dana Macher, practice director at Avalere. “Manufacturers need strategic partners that can provide them with the data, analysis, and experience to navigate this new, complex landscape.”
About Beveridge
Beveridge is a medical oncologist who has been in practice for more than 20 years. He most recently served as Humana’s chief medical officer where he led health policy and clinical quality initiatives for the organization. Beveridge has also held similar roles for US Oncology and McKesson Specialty Health. Much of his recent work focuses on social determinants of health and improving the health of underserved populations. He has also published more than 200 papers.
About Schneider
Schneider comes to Avalere with extensive experience in manufacturing and pharmacy benefits. He spent 9 years at CVS Caremark where he was the director of industry relations and was responsible for trade strategy development, rebate negotiations, and contract execution for CVS Caremark’s Medicare Part D plans and those of its clients. He has served as a national account director for Otsuka Pharmaceuticals and SC Pharmaceuticals, a startup device manufacturer. He spent 10 years working across a number of pharmaceutical manufacturers in sales and account management roles.
