Avalere Expands Actuarial and Data Analytics Expertise with Hire of Kenny Kan

In addition to his deep actuarial expertise, Kan brings extensive experience with pharmaceutical outcomes-based contracting, risk adjustment, and healthcare policy analysis. In his new role, Kenny will support a wide range of data-driven research into insurance risk, the premium impact of policy proposals, and value-driven strategies to improve population health management.

“Kenny brings a wealth of actuarial experience on value-based payment systems,” said Dan Mendelson, president at Avalere Health. “His leadership and expertise will play a critical role in bringing innovative outcomes-based solutions to our life sciences, health plan, provider, and financial services clients as the health care environment continues to move from volume to value-based care.”

Kan is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He is also a chartered financial analyst and certified public accountant. Kan holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Texas – Austin.
