<p?Hinman will focus on the application of Avalere expertise in commercial health plan operations, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid managed care, and health insurance exchange markets.

Prior to joining Avalere, Hinman played a key leadership role as chief operating officer for Connect for Health Colorado, establishing the public non-profit organization as one of the most successful state-based health insurance marketplaces in the country. Prior to that, Hinman led the Office of Healthcare Reform at Horizon BlueCross, served as vice president of America’s Health Insurance Plans, and early in her career served in the White House Office of Management and Budget. In addition, from 2004 to 2008, Hinman was senior manager at Avalere Health. Hinman will be growing the Avalere health plan business collaboratively with many other leaders at Avalere, leveraging the talent, data, and models already in residence at the firm.
