Avalere Health today announced the hiring of Nancy McGee as executive vice president to head its thriving life sciences business unit.

McGee was previously chief operating officer of the Lash Group, a consulting firm now owned by Amerisource Bergen. She also previously worked at Manatt, Phelps & Philips, LLP, and Castlight Health.

Avalere CEO Dan Mendelson said, “Nancy is a seasoned executive and is well known to our customers as a content expert in evidence, quality, patient engagement and reimbursement. We are thrilled to add her to our team.”

Tanisha Carino, a valued member of the Avalere team for 11 years who has led the unit, will depart Avalere to lead U.S. public policy at GlaxoSmithKline.

“We are deeply grateful to Tanisha for her many contributions to Avalere’s success and look forward to working with her in her new role,” Mendelson said.
