Maura Burns supports healthcare organizations by delivering research and analysis on a wide range of health policy issues.
Before joining Avalere, Maura served as a global product communications intern at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, supporting campaigns to highlight the patient experience both at Alexion and in the rare disease community. This work included collaborating with patients to develop content characterizing the patient journey and the burden of living with a rare disease. Maura has also worked as a research assistant within the Youth Violence Prevention Center at the University of Michigan School of Public Health.
Maura holds a bachelor’s degree in biopsychology, cognition, and neuroscience, and in Spanish, from the University of Michigan.
