She applies her background in coding, auditing, and compliance to a broad range of client projects. Pamela offers a plethora of knowledge, with over 25 years in the healthcare industry.
Before joining Avalere, Pamela held the position of outpatient coding supervisor for AdventHealth, where she managed and led the professional development of a team responsible for performing accurate and timely coding, while maintaining compliance, and adherence to HIPAA regulations. Prior to her tenure at AdventHealth, Pamela held the position of senior auditing consultant for nThrive, performing coding and compliance audits for major healthcare organizations across the country. Pamela also has extensive knowledge and experience in many healthcare specialties and settings, performing coding, auditing, and compliance reviews for various healthcare facilities, ambulatory surgical centers, and physician offices.
Pamela holds an AS in health information technology from St. Petersburg College. She also holds coding credentials from the American Health Information Management Association and the American Academy of Professional Coders, including Certified Coding Specialist, Certified Professional Coder, Certified Documentation Expert Outpatient, Certified Professional Medical Auditor, and Certified Risk Adjustment Coder.
