Vanessa Nyawabila supports clients with research and analysis that span a variety of healthcare sectors and stakeholders.
She applies her public health and research background to contribute to the development of client analysis and insights.
Prior to joining Avalere, Vanessa interned at the University of California, Berkeley, where she conducted quantitative analyses to explore how California counties responded to COVID-19 under the Whole Person Care Medicaid Pilot Program. Additionally, she was a clinical research associate at the University of California, San Diego, where she focused on the intersection of oncology and fertility.
Vanessa received her MSPH in health policy with a concentration in pharmacoepidemiology and drug safety from The Johns Hopkins University and a BS in interdisciplinary studies with an emphasis in biology, chemistry, and criminal justice from San Diego State University.
