Sean Creighton Strengthens Avalere’s Health Plan Team

Avalere Health is thrilled to welcome Sean Creighton as he rejoins the team as a managing director. Sean has more than 20 years of experience in health plan operations and health policy with specific expertise in Medicare Advantage and Part D.

“We are delighted have Sean rejoin Avalere and welcome his leadership to our health plan team,” said Elizabeth Carpenter, General Manager and Head of Advisory Services at Avalere Health. “Sean’s unmatched technical expertise combined with his experience in industry and government strengthens our ability to help customers connect the dots between regulatory change and business opportunity.”

Sean rejoins Avalere after spending 2 years at Humana as vice president of federal policy. Previously, Sean also held positions with Cotiviti focused on risk-adjustment solutions and inside the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services where he spent 15 years in roles focused on Medicare Advantage payment policy and risk adjustment.

“I am excited to once again join Avalere in its important work in helping organizations navigate the evolving healthcare dynamics that influence their businesses,” Sean said. “I look forward to leveraging my experience and insight to help our clients make critical business decisions moving forward.”

Sean holds graduate degrees in sociology and statistics from the London School of Economics and Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland, and a bachelor’s degree from University of Limerick, Ireland.
